Hey UK readers, listen up. Whatever you were planning to do Saturday the 26th, cancel it. The place you want to be is the LEGO Store Bluewater from 12-4pm. Exo Suit designer and LEGO artist Peter Reid is going to be there signing sets and answering questions. Not only do you get early access to the Exo Suit and get to meet Pete, you can score one of these sets of exceptionally exclusive collector cards. Now would someone please perfect transporter technology so I can zip over there and still be back in time for my Panel at SDCC?

First of all, let me send a huge shout out to all that have donated so far. Your generosity has blown me away, thank you so much. I still have quite a few really cool items to give away, including the Exo Suit (need to finish episode 207 first) and screen-used MOCs from Beyond The Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary. I'm also excited to announce that Vince Paver (Hammerstein NWC) is generously donating two sets of his awesome custom minifigures. We're giving stuff away until the end of July, donate today!
San Diego Comic Con is upon is, BrickCon is right around the corner, contests are planned and episodes of BrickNerd are backing up. The coffers are quite dry but we have all this cool stuff laying around the studio. So what can we do to rectify this? Pledge drive!
Let's be quite clear, this isn't a raffle or a purchase, this is you supporting BrickNerd, and us surprising several of you with tokens of our appreciation like we've done in the past. It will be fairly random, but I can say it's quite likely the greater the support, the better the odds and the perk.
Among the things in our box of mutual love is badge bricks, stickers, books, poly bags and various sized sets including The LEGO House and some Exo Suit thingy you've probably never heard of. There's also several screen-used MOCs from the animation done for Beyond The Brick: A LEGO Brickumentary. Yes, you can own a piece of cinema history.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is of course no end date to when we'll happily accept donations, but we'll be surprising supporters immediately and until the end of July. Yes, it was one year ago today that BrickNerd officially launched. It's been a crazy year, and I can't thank all of you enough for your support. I'd love to flood you with some amazing stats like number of posts, Likes on Facebook and stuff like that, but I haven't had time to gather any. I can tell you it's been a ton of fun, and you all rock! I have big plans for this year and I hope you'll all be there. Thanks for visiting!
I finally got a chance to watch Wes Anderson's latest cinematic achievement The Grand Budapest Hotel just a few days ago, and I loved it. And now Ryan Ziegelbauer, Gary McIntire and a team of top notch builders have created a masterpiece of their own inspired by the movie. I give you the LEGO Grand Budapest Hotel, and it's awesome!
Our friends at Tee Fury have a couple new LEGO inspired tees for you all to wear. Now I don't want to judge, but take a moment and look down... now look at these designs and ask yourself "self, what would I rather be wearing?"

Castle fans are familiar with the name Mark of Falworth. Well, the brothers Erickson have launched a new endeavor, Falworth Publishing. Now the tales woven by Mark and Steven have a home, stay tuned for the first adventure.
I get asked all the time "Where did you get that shirt?" and the response quite often is "Tee Fury" (in fact, I'm wearing one as I type this, and I got a new one in the mail today). After my disappointment with the Back To The Future Delorean I have to admit I was a little leery when this set was announced. Especially considering Brent Waller's fantastic original design. But I'm very happy to see that it has exceeded my expectations, and the set is only going to set me back $49.99, sweet!
When the live action scene was shot last year in Los Angeles the producers of The LEGO Movie put out a "MOC casting call" to local groups. Many talented AFOLs responded and now their work is on the big screen. I don't know which is more mind-boggling, that I know these artists and have actually held some of these MOCs, or that I didn't spot a single one when I watched the movie last week.
Yesterday marked the official launch of a new LEGO fan community website, Brickimedia. Brickimedia is an open network of fan communities that brings together a Wiki, a place to share stories, customs and even a Cuusoo Wiki. Click through and check it out.
